What This Does

LinkedIn has a built-in AI writing assistant that helps you write and improve posts directly on the platform — no copying and pasting into ChatGPT required. For loan officers, a consistent LinkedIn presence is one of the highest-ROI activities for Realtor referral relationships.

Before You Start

  • You have a LinkedIn account (free or Premium)
  • You're logged in on desktop (AI writing tools are desktop-only)
  • Note: LinkedIn AI writing suggestions are most robust on Premium accounts, but basic suggestions are available on free

Steps

1. Start a Post with AI Assistance

  1. Click Start a post on your LinkedIn home feed
  2. In the post compose window, look for Rewrite or AI suggestions (a small star or sparkle icon)
  3. On LinkedIn Premium, you'll see a Write with AI option more prominently
  4. Type a rough draft of your idea — even just a few bullet points
  5. Click the AI icon to refine or expand your draft

2. Use the Rewrite Feature

  1. Type your rough idea: "rates might drop this spring, good time to buy"
  2. Click the rewrite or improve writing button
  3. LinkedIn AI will expand this into a complete professional post with hook, explanation, and call to action
  4. Choose the tone that matches your style (professional, conversational)

3. Update Your Profile with AI Suggestions

  1. Click your profile photo → View profile
  2. Click the pencil edit icon on your About or Experience sections
  3. On Premium, you'll see a Suggest with AI button that generates an improved bio based on your current information
  4. Review and customize — add your specific loan specialties, markets, and why you got into lending

4. Post Consistently (This Is the Key)
